Several RSCJ work in retreats and spiritual direction, accompanying people either
in their own context or in retreat or spirituality centres. As well as our own centre,
Llannerchwen, RSCJ form part of the teams in St Beuno's in N Wales,
and Minsteracres and St Antony's Priory in NE England.
Some also work with prayer and reflection or parish groups, or run courses or workshops to help people grow in their faith and relationship with God.
For example, in Newcastle Wingrove Road Barbara hosts a discernment group for women, while Sheila hosts a reflection group for young teachers. Elsewhere in Newcastle three RSCJ have recently moved to Walker, where they are seeking to find ways to assist parishioners in the life and growth of their parish. In Hammersmith,W London, Bernie leads a scripture study/reflection group and works on the parish’s RCIA (programme for adults becoming Catholics). Meanwhile, in Oxford Silvana accompanies a Young Adults Christian Life Community (CLC) and co-convenes a Samuel (discernment) Group with one of the university chaplains, while further west in rural Somerset, Fanny has a strong and active presence in the local church and community in Binegar.
